Learning comment: Upon completion of this task I have identified key ways in which audience members consume different types of music videos. This is important to consider when I come to shoot my own video because elements, such as the mise en scene, will be vital in way that audiences perceive my main character as well as the setting around him, Furthermore, I will look to satisfy the needs of the audience members. So, for example, Blumer and Katz's theory of uses and gratifications states that audience members watch television for a certain reason. In this case, I will be look to add an element of diversion away from everyday life. Whilst the video will be in humble surroundings, I will also be looking to fixate the audience on the narrative as way of diverting them away from their everyday life.
